Brief Biography
Steve Jobs was born on 24th February 1995 at San Francisco, California state. His parents were graduate students from Wisconsin University student who gave up Jobs for adoption. His biological parents, Joanne Schieble and Abdulfattah Jandali later married and give birth to Mona Simpson (Isaacson, 2011). However, it was not until he was 27 that the information about his biological parents was revealed to him. As an infant, Jobs was adopted by Paul Jobs and Clara and named him Steven Paul Jobs. Clara was an accountant while Paul machinist. The family resided in California, Silicon Valley. As a child, Steven Jobs used to assist his father in repairing electronics at home. Paul taught him how to construct electronic gadgets, a hobby which imparted tenacity, confidence and mechanical expertise in the young boy. Although his youth was characterized with frustrations over normal schooling, Jobs was always an innovative and intelligent thinker (Isaacson, 2011). A prankster in primary school, his fourth-grade tutor had to bribe him to read. Nevertheless, he performed so well that the school administration once thought if skipping him a head to secondary school, a recommendation that his parents dismissed. Immediately he joined high school in 1971, Jobs met his future business partner, Steve Wonzniak.
After high school he enrolled at Reed school however, he lacked direction and dropped out of school after six months only. However, he spent the other 18 months in the creativity world. As he grew up, he appeared very smart but directionless. During his early adult hood, he experimented in different fields in vain. In 1974, he acted as video game designer, a task that he abandoned and left for spiritual enlightenment in India. It was not until 1976 that he managed to think of a more viable idea of Apple computers (Lüsted, 2012). Currently, the late Steve Jobs is credited with transforming the technological world and computer industry in particular. He brought democracy in the technological field and made the electronic gadgets cheaper, intuitive, portable and accessible to daily consumers.
